Queueing for check in

Queueing for the ritual humiliation that is airport security

Queueing to board

Queueing at Immigration on arrival, since you are from a non Schengen country

Waiting for luggage to arrive, assuming it got loaded on the plane

Waiting for coach to resort/queueing to get hire car

Having driven for a skiing holiday for the first time this year I found the experience much better than flying ...especially being in the ski area and having the ability to ski different resorts when I want to and the travel experience was much better than being cattle in an airport

And when you're there, you don't have to wait for a ski bus (if you're not in a ski in/out resort). We waved to the bus queue each morning - sad...........

Alright alright. We are driving to France at Easter, so I will give you my verdict after then. I have, to date, only had 1 bad experience with a ski holiday flight and that was FORCE MAJEURE, which I believe can affect roads as well.....
