Great week spent in N....good snow...good skiing...good apres...and great company. What a coincidence to ski with Coop even though I didn't realise we'd met until the ski school presentation night on Thursday evening. We were lucky to be in the village to experience the carnival celebrations....donuts anybody?!

An 'advanced intermediate' would probably be a better description of Chemmy...oh, and she's quite the looker too!!

Anyway, just got back from N. My thoughts:

Great snow, especially in Auffach. Great people. Decent enough skiing on offer. I'd agree that it is limited but I'd also have to agree with Dave Mac in that you can ski each run differently each time. I personally had a really good time skiing both N and Auffach. It's also a very good resort for young families and beginners. The Red ski school are fantastic (had my kids skiing red runs by the 6th day and even gave my wife 'free' one to one tuition when she was struggling in her group). We had such a good experience that we are definately returning next year.

On the downside, N is a ghost town. The week I was there, there was very little evening entertainment. The few bars there are, are frankly awful. But hey, I was ready for bed by 9pm most nights so a raving party town would have been lost on me! I did meet some really nice people though and had a good laugh whenever I did stay up long enough to go out.

To recap, N is a decent place to go if you're happy making the most of the limited slopes or you're after first class ski tuition or you have a young family in tow.

Obviously one of the more smart skiers on J2ski, Coop! Glad you enjoyed it. There are some good evening spots, but I have to say that this year there was less entertainment than in previous years. That doesn't concern me, because I just like meeting new interesting people, and there is no shortage of those.

I might go again.
