K2's are a heavy ski, and Recons's would not be my suggestion for a 1st time purchase, but what do I know
The Sidewinders are a fair price, Nevisport has then with a Marker 12 binding for £315.

Hard work this ski choosing lark innit )
So what your saying is if i got K2 skis at 170 they would really be a 163 or 164? I wont be getting the Recons at £500 however my O/ half fell in love with them, weird really she practically purred over them  Even said shed help pay for them.... I feel im going to get shafted for something soon )
You really, really, must test some skis before you part with any money. At the moment the learning curve for you is way too steep, and you represent a salesman's dream customer!
I have a friend who used Recons' for a couple of years. He quite likes steep off piste and heli skiing. I would say his standard is between Advanced and Expert. Do you still think you fit the profile as a user?
