If you are not buying the best kit you can afford then you are going to be a little colder/hotter/wetter (delete as applicable) than you could be. I don't see the point.

Obviously how ' good ' kit is can be open to debate but for the most part I would suggest buying a Dare2Be jacket when you can comfortably afford a Mammut (or something) would just be daft.

Not everyone has the deposable income that you and I may have, I think sometimes when we talk about
these expensive brands we sometimes forget that...... 8)
