Ideally: Like Rose, I usually take biographies on holiday as they are easy to put down and pick up again.

John Peel's is the best I've read.

Yes it was good. Michael Palins one is as well. The best laugh one was Peter Kaye. Tom Cruise the wierdest. Robbie Williams the most boring. Michael J Fox was so brave. Jim Davidson was hilarious.

Rarely read novels. Usually have 5/6 books on the go at any one time.

So:
Bathroom, Private Eye mag, and "Rembrandt", Michael Kitson

Bedside, "Windmills and Waterwheels Explained", Stan Yorke. Also "Highland Warrior", David Stevenson, detailed academic effort at the 17C civil wars within Scotland. Dry as butterless toast.

Conservatory, "Scottish Covenanter Stories-Tales from the Killing Times", Dane Love. Horrific killings in the name of religion.

Living Room, "Andreas Hofer" Lousia Mulbach, Hofer led the Tirolean resistance against Napoleans army.

StudyStudio, "Rain on the River" selected poems by US poet Jim Dodge. "Puppy Training", Julia Barnes, "The All Mountain Skier", Mark Elling.

Love the Harlen Coben series. Others of similar type are the books by Lee Childs (Jack Reacher is a legend!) and the Harry Bosch series by Michael Connolley. All straight forward reading but with plenty of twists and turns.

Not sure what happened there. Ended up with Caron-a's post and mine blended together. You get the drift anyway.

It's a real page turner, struggled to put it down last night.

I recognise the name Harry Bosch so I've just looked through my book shelf and my husband's got the HB Mysteries so that's next on my list! Thanks for that :D

Currently reading 'Not Dead Enough' by Peter James. Almost half way through, enjoyable so far though not as much as his other novels like Host, Twilight and Alchemist.

The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov

A fantastic book about what happens when the Devil comes to Moscow.
He was a wise man who invented beer - Plato
