I love "enjoys incredible views" which I take as code for it's not very nice itself :D
Yes, you could, so long as you are absolutely certain that the crossing you book will meet your needs. Ferry and Eurotunnel are excluded from the legislation covering distance selling in the UK, so there is no cooling off period, and the T&C's (which you have to accept) are loaded to give the co's the right to offer any service they want.
If not, factor in, walking away from the booking, into your budget, because they won't give a refund.

ise Since our household has stayed in all the places you have listed, I read out the descriptions to my OH, who failed to identify any of them from the descriptions.
For Nendaz however, he did make the following observation...
"Swindon-on Ski"
Not all of Swiss alpine villages are chocolate-box pretty. Not everyone is looking for traditional village architecture and evidence of an existence outside of skiing, clearly.

Hi Depends what you mean by cheap.
http://www.snowcoach.co.uk/
Snowcoach offer reasonable deals they have a couple of their own hotels and all the food and drink is included.
They also do 2 for 1 offers on lift passes or free child places etc.
I have used them quite a lot over the years and often book in to their hotels for a day or two when im on my way to resorts or on the way back.
If you want to go totally indipendent then three of us had a Holiday in Avoriaz for 460 each all in. Ferry,Road Tolls,Accomadation,Food and lift pass. I do get free fuel though so i guess that would add quite a bit.
I won the apartment on ebay but you can look on http://www.pv-holidays.com/ and they dont work out much more expensive.
You can take most of your own food and the supermarkets usually do a cheap dish of the day if you dont want to cook.
Down side is Not a lot of nightlife, expensive resyurants and drink just like all france and apartments like rabbit hutches. I go for the skiing so its not a problem but if your looking for charm and culture prob not for you.
PV Holidays do do apartments all over so worth a look.

One thing which I fell foul of last year. The cost of the ferry goes up and up as you get closer to the date of travel, quoted at end of October for Dover Calais return £56, tried to book on 1st December identical crossings £109. We ended up booking with Sea France for £60, but the boat was about 500 years old, rattled, shook and smelt like a 3 day dead dog! Booked early with P&O this year!
The weather in the channel can also be a bit rough leading to delays especially on the way home. It would be good to budget for an hotel stay on the way home if you live some way from the port.
