You all have your favorites and it is really a pointless debate both sides will have their own preferences on where they like to ski, I guess if skiing is your thing then France if Apres ski is your thing then Auistria ........ :shock:

If you like skiing then anywhere where there is snow is the answer.
If you like expensive prices go to the mega resorts and much of France.
If après is your thing I don't know why you bother going skiing at all.

Here's another budget for Val d'Isere using freshchalets.co.uk. We stayed in their apartment a couple of years ago.
I think a week in January is circa £1,100 which equates to only £275pp. This includes free private transfer.
As per my earlier post, flights/ski hire/ski pass add another £400 max. Therefore only £675pp + spends on top.
Really good value for top class resort.
