Freaky man.. That made my stomach go.
That dude is lucky to be alive after a pretty foolish move.

My life-long friends boyfriend died in an avalanche 2 years ago so this kind of stuff makes me feel sick. Especially when you see it from the camera. Makes me think that's pretty much the last thing you see.. darkness.

Ride safe people, be aware of the lines you pick!
And make sure one of you has a shovel..

No.

If you're off the piste and the avy risk level is more than about 1... make sure everyone in your party has a shovel (and a probe and a transceiver).

One buried shovel is no more use than no shovel at all...

Think you could argue that at least some of group should have skins and touring bindings. Anyone who has tried to walk uphill in powder knows just how long it would take to reach someone who was in trouble above you e.g. last person is group triggers. Of course best mitigation for this is skiing short pitches but easy to get carried away sometimes.
