Those girls are amazing - making fairly smooth turns on an icy course with the slope falling away from them while travelling at speeds of 115kph

There were 15 DNF's which I am guessing is way more than usual. Chemmy skied reasonably well and seems to be recovering form. While she was back in 27th, at least she earned World Cup points for that finish which is very important in terms of rankings, start numbers, etc. :D

That's our route home at the end of each day when we stay in St Anton, a couple of glühweins down the black and peel off to left on blue 24 to the chalet.

Youre absolutely right. He comes across as trying too hard. His green baggy jacket was horrendous this week and whilst I prefer the more freestyle look to the traditional straight up and down skiing look, and I know hes a boarder, he reallty needs to stop pulling his trousers down to his hips and wearing silly loose hats.
And that beanie would look stupid on anyone, youre right.

I still wet myself when I listen to his boarder cross commentary from the olympics though.

I am guessing that you would be going quite a bit slower than Chemmy and the other racers

Do you think he dresses himself? Or do you think a BBC stylist dresses him like that to appeal to the 'young snowboarder' demographic?

No he likes himself too much to allow that to happen

Do you think Graham dresses himself, or is he obliged to wear whatever claptrap is sponsoring him this season? Last season it was Nevica, which is now available in that horrendous jumble sale of a sports store at £5 a jacket, or something

Agreed, i think he dresses himself. I doubt anyone at the BBC has any idea of snowsport fashion and just trust ed to look after himself. Fair play to him though, many may think he looks an idiot but i'm sure many a few middle aged men would love to hang on to their youth.

GB simply has his sponsors, im sure his jackets were Nevica again this episode. Unless he was being paid i can't see why he would wear them.
Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

Roll on Sochi!

Finally watched it, now very much in the mood for a ski.

Does anyone else get as excited as me when the Ski Sunday music comes on? I just can't help myself.
