He may have meant you would need a size UK 8 (26.0) ski boot.

I concur Bandit.
Went to Ellis Brigham on Sunday in London and to my amazement the guy measured my feet and told me I was a UK Size 8 when I am actually a 10.
Kind of hoping that in resort will be a bit better than that but who knows. See when we get there.

You will be pleased to know I am now sorted - hurrah! - I went to Lockwoods in Leamington in my lunch hour and back after work, my boots have been checked, tweaked, heated up, remoulded and new footbeds! Thank you to Robin of Lockwoods for sorting both me and my boots out! :D :D :D Job done!
Rather a bad day on the slopes than a good day in the office!
