Anyone out in N at the moment? What's the conditions like and is there any snow forecast, counting down the days till Saturday! :D

Spoke to Dave yesterday who is there. He says the pistes are fine and useable, just turning slushy after 3pm (which is fun on a snowboard as it happens).

I will be there myself later today....driving from Munich this afternoon.

No new snow forecast. Been a rubbish season frankly. The only powder day was 27th January this year (and a couple of days after that I guess).

Ok cheers for that, it doesn't sound to terrible. Sounds pretty similar to the skiing we had in Saint Gervais last weekend which was fine just getting a bit hard work in the afternoon. Shame there's no new snow on the horizon, will keep doing the dance!

April is going to be the big month for this season. Not that I'll be going anywhere.

Boarded today. Was kinda OK I guess, but not really my cup of tea. I live for offpiste and powder so it's skiable but kinda boring for me. OK if you wanna catch a suntan I suppose.

You leave your house at the wrong time of day, John! Nothing escapes me!

The morning skiing is still fabulous, and we are ripping out 3 minute Merkies, from 9.00am onwards. In the afternoon, gets a bit slushy on lower Tenladen, but work across to the right, in the race area, it's stays good all day.

Have to agree, the best boarders make mince of the slush. We switch to downward unweighting technique for the afternoon slush. It's looking good for a few weeks yet.

Basically I just don't like pisted snow. Simple as that. Only time I enjoy pistes are when there is a ton of stuff on the edges to play around on.

Fussy? Moi?
