I was wondering if anyone had any celebrity stories to tell from their skiing trips?

A few years ago I was in sauze d'oulx when they were having the crystal week and Steve Redgrave was in the hotel bar every night. Nice guy, very unassuming.

Last week in champoluc, Stan Boardman (don't mention the Geeeeeeeeermans) was in our hotel. He kept himself to his own group, and I have to say he was a pretty decent table tennis player. "I've got you defending like the Japanese......."

Anyone spotted anyone famous in their property?

Bit obscure this one. Mrs Gaz went to Serre Chevalier with a friend, while I looked after her children may I add  , and spent the week skiing with a group which included Carl Green (Herman's Hermits). Who? -)

Probably doesn't count as a 'celeb'. Don't think they had 'been invented' when the Hermits were in their heyday. :-)

if I found some one famous in my apartment I'd kick them out to find a place of their own

Mark Lester, child actor and friend of Michael Jackson and Uri Geller.
I hadn't a clue who he was until I was told (someone in our party recognised him) and I didn't realise how wellknown he had been until some time later.
His daughter was in my son's ski group and they stuck together cos all the other kids were Austrian. Nice girl.
This was Schladming new year 2000/01
Believe he's an osteopath In Cheltenham now - funnily enough where I've been tonight (Chelt not the osteo).

My nephew drove a mini bus a few years ago in Morzine and had James Morrison in the back of his cab.

I'm not sure that skiing had been invented when Herman's Hermits were famous
