Hi Gang, I was in Makro of all places today, whilst Mrs P was buying washing powder I was browsing the usual crap that they have in there.
Whilst browsing I came across a Tog 24 ski Jacket that looked great, felt great, had all the zips, and pockets in the right places and seemed like good quality. The best thing was that it was only £36 inc VAT.
I wasn't sure about the quality of Tog 24, have any of you had any experience of any Tog 24 ski wear?
TOG 24 stuff any good?

Variable, I have a fleece Bodywarmer, which I like..just put a new front zip in, because the plastic zip teeth parted
Purchased a thermal top last winter, which feels good, but the material is too fragile and snags on pretty well everything. Happy that I paid 50% less than list price.

That's waht happened to me, purchased a TOG24 coat cheap and now only wear it walking the Dog.
However, the fleeces I bought for £14 each this year are great value, very very warm when it was -23, probably say better than some of the North Face and Helly Hansen ones I have.
Kids ski coats/trousers are fine and again good value.
TOG do have a more expensive range that are good and are in sales from time to time and worth buying, but the cheaper end of coats I would probably steer clear of unless using in Spring when it is warmer.

TOG 24. I dont get what they're aiming at in the market. Their stuff is not great quality but its priced in that mid range market. Over priced IMO.
However, at knockdown prices, some of their stuff is ok. Fleeces as has been mentioned are good. But their jackets are not really stylish and you wouldnt find me in any of their gear tbh.

The most important characterists of a ski jacket is its waterproof rating and of course the quality of zips. For a jacket it might be worth it to pay a bit more but have a quality material that will keep you dry.
