Wheres the best place to ski out of vienna for a few days in early march ?

Quick query,

Does anyone know a good place to ski close to vienna in early march.
Gonna be trying to get to some where early on a wednesday morngin adn back to vienna by saturday night.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated

ps i meant ski or board, probably more boarding now just thinking about it!

I understand that the nearest significant resort to Vienna is Semmering. Not sure about the snow probabilities in March, but I've no reason to believe it's not ok, as it was mentioned to me by an Austrian colleague who has ski'd there.

I went the few thimes this year in March and there was snow.It is 90 km from Vienna central.

You can take ski bus by the "bus to the snow" - Blaguss company or by rail.There are 10 connections daily from Vienna Südbahnhof or Graz Hauptbahnhof.

If You ariving by air to Schwechat its 100 km away and You can order a taxi.
i use Vienna-Airport-Cab company becouse they offer every 8. Service for free so if you plan to go often its good thing + they are cheap.
