Not sure about arinsal specifically, but I used online ordering recently and got a much better deal than those who booked on arrival or through the TO.
I wish I could meet the person who first decided to strap 2 planks to their feet and throw themselves down a mountain

I ski in Arinsal regularly. You will have plenty of choice for ski hire. I use Pic-Negre and the top of the gondola for myself and the wife and kids. Look up the prices on the internet for them http://www.picnegre.com/en/ They will give you a 20% discount if you ask. At the shop ask for Serge, he is very helpful. They will keep your skis and poles overnight, but they don't mention this when you hire the skis. Next to the ski-pass booth at the top of the gondola you can also hire a locker for about 50 euros for the week, if you prefer . Also get yourself a VallNord card which will save you 5% to 10% on most places in Arinsal (http://www.vallnord.com/)

Enjoy.

I looked at the price of hire skis and boots and could not believe the price, it worked out cheaper to take your own gear, the hire shops are really missing a trick here.

hi snowedunder thanks for the info,i applied for the vallnord card online got to collect in resort ,looked at pic negre and 2 adults and 1child ski &poles only 218 euro, alpine resorts .com 180 euro ,ski extras can do the same for 130 euro quite a difference and i picked the average skis each time , i think i will go for the middle quote 130 seems to cheap unless someone knows how good ski extras are ,thanks for your help everyone ,and daved im big with hair no skis at the mo staying at hotel poblado might bump into you cheers everone, and lastly i still think j2ski weather reports are unrealistic i think you would get it wrong twice with a 50/50 option ,i have given up looking what will be will be at least i will still have my sanity good skiing everyone and i will let you know what andorra was like

I guess the point I was trying to make was if ski shops dropped the price of their ski rental to below what Easy and the irish lot charge they would make a killing.
