Skiline

Has anyone used www.skiline.cc and what did you think of it? You put in your lift pass number and it shows how far you skiied each day, what lifts you used and the time it took. Might just be for Austria, not sure.

I have used skiline in Austria and loved it. In fact my ski instructor didn't know about it either and was quite enthralled with our daily distance that we skiied! You key in your lift pass number and it comes out with the distance you skiied and all the lifts you used. My only criticism was that it didn't record your last run down the mountain as you obviously didn't use your lift pass at the bottom. But all in all, good fun!

I have used skiline a number of times, mostly when I have had a big day. You can get the daily km reading as well as the vertical height reading. Sued, are you certain of this? It could affect some of my personal records.

Apparently it records your distance only when you go through a scanner at a lift station, so it doesn't record your last run down the mountain. On the day I skiied the most miles ever, I couldn't get the lift as usual down as it was shut due to the winds and had to ski all the way down. But it didn't recognise this- I was a bit unhappy! When you think about it, some of the lifts stop a couple of times up the mountain, but you couldn't be sure if I skiied from the top or from the middle. Sorry!
