Hiya,
Me & The boys (there are 5 of us in total), have been let down by a **** in Chamonix who had assured us of decent (basic) budget accommodation. We're now looking for somewhere to stay...
We've booked flights already, and so we're looking for places to stay, that are reasonably cheap, where we'll get snow mid March, somewhere close to Geneva...
The boy don't want much, heh?
If anyone can help, or offer decent suggestions of where to look, I will personally pay to get your skis serviced...

Mid-March there should be plenty of places to ski near Geneva. For starters you could look at Flaine (Samoens is prettier but linked into the same area), La Clusaz (several resorts in the same area with a more traditional feel) and Avoriaz (good snow record and big linked ski area).
May be worth waiting and trying to get a late deal as you will be outside the main school holiday times.

Magic, we may be able to help, our chalet is in La Rosiere about 21/2 hours from Geneva but we have a mini-bus and free transfers are part of our package. The snow in mid-march is pretty much guaranteed, there's over 3 metres at 2600 metres at the moment. Check out La Rosiere's snow record. The skiing is good, sunny south facing slopes on the French side and north facing on the Italian, both covered on the same lift pass. Hi Magic boy
We still have space in our catered chalet in La Clusaz for that week, and if you fancy sharing a room it could be only £350pp for the week. Snow's good at this time of year and we ski up to 2,400m. The ski slopes are 3 mins from the chalet and we do a dily drop off/pick up service so there is no trudging around in your snow boots and squeezing on the ski bus!
We are also running a pro-rider week that week so if you fancy some adrenaline action - it's all inclusive for £650pp.
Take a look at www.gravite.co.uk for more info or contact me direct dave@gravite.co.uk
