Hi Everyone.
Just thought I would let everyone know that you can now book ski hire online for Glenshee. I own a skiing website, SkiAssistant.com, and have created a page to hire ski and snowboard equipment from "Cally Ski Hire Ltd" online before you head for the hills.

I came up with the idea when I went up skiing one day last year with some friends and they needed to hire skis. It was a perfect day for skiing, and a weekend so the place was mobbed. Anyway, we were a little late in leaving and all the rental places we tried had run out of boots to fit one of my friends. So instead of spending the day on the slopes we had to turn round and head home.
The idea is that you can book your skis by noon the day before and they will be ready to pick up on your way to Glenshee. It should save time in queues when you pick up and avoid the worry of the shops being sold out.
I was hoping you could help me spread the word and maybe give me some feedback if you use the service and let me know what you think? You can contact me at email@skiassistant.com.
Hope it is useful!
Cheers,
Gregor

Yeah well done Skiassistant, for taking the initiative to set this up. Best of luck to you.
I wish I could meet the person who first decided to strap 2 planks to their feet and throw themselves down a mountain

best of luck - good idea. i know there are a couple of places that you can call the day before to reserve, but think you may be the first to do it online.

Four days ski hire £50 seems a touch on the expensive side, I don't think that price will convince me to leave my gear at home ...... Just a thought.

I own Skiassistant.com only and have no control of the prices. Cally Ski Hire Ltd. set their own prices and are either the same as Glenshee ski centre, or in some cases slightly cheaper. Cally Ski Hire Ltd. is also cheaper than Cairdsport Hire, the other main hire shop in the area. What I see as the main reason for booking online is the peace of mind that you will have your equipment waiting for you when you arrive no matter how busy the slopes are. There is nothing worse than turning up to find out they are sold out. If you have your own skis you are probably better using them, but if not or you want to avoid scratching your skis, then I haven't found anywhere cheaper around Glenshee.
Thanks very much for your feedback, I do appreciate it.
