Hi, I'm going to ski in January 11. It's my firts time and I really don't know where to go. I'll be in Germany and i'm travelling alone. Can someone tell me the best place to begin skiing and where can I have some ski classes? Is Oberstdorf a good option???

Welcome to J2ski :D There is some information on German Ski Resorts here with a section for Beginners...

Most resorts have a ski school, and many skiers also use Snow domes to learn the basics before they go to a resort.

Hi Guita

This may not be particularly useful - but I have been to Oberstdorf - I was racing so not sure what the beginner slopes are like, but the place is soooo beautiful and the people are absolutely lovely - so I'm sure they will look after you for your first time!

Have fun

Thanks Katie. I'll check about classes for beginners in Oberstdorf. I also heard about Saalbach in Austria. Maybe it will be an option too.

Thanks again,
Guita
