Hello j2skiiers...
Me and my Dad started skiing a few years ago, so are at a good intermediate level now. In 2011, the soonist that we can hit the slopes is April.
We want to stay within europe, and so far my research seems to be indicating that Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is a good place, with one of the longest seasons in Europe.
Any and all feedback welcome please and thank you!
Niamh :D

Obertauren also in Austria could be a decent bet the season there lasts into May. Also Somewhere like Mayrhofen which has access to a Glacier would be a fair shout, also in Austria.
Looking into France possibly somewhere like Les Arc or Les Deux Alpes would be fairly decent for that time of the year, both with lift access to Glaciers

From Mayrhofen you might have a 40km round trip in getting to and from the Tux, before you get on the lift.
Obergurgl sound a good suggestion. The snow history indicates consistent snow at village level in April.
