Hi

Me and three other adults are looking to go skiing in Alps (France or Switzerland) for 1-2 weeks in January 2011. Does any one know how I can find a chalet or an apartment online? There are quite a few accommodation search sites, but which ones I can trust? How do people normally book it?

Thanks.

Decide where you want to go. Then look at their own website. It should be possible to do an accommodation search for hotels or apartments.

I have always booked in Austria, Germany and Switzerland like this, but think it's trickier in France.

Interhome is well worth a browse, and a reliable company.

Has lots of apartments on offer in many ski resorts.

You could try websites

Chaletfinder
Chaletsdirect
Ownersdirect

I have run a catered chalet in Les Collons for the last 4 years, we are no longer running it but can recommend chalets in this area if you are interested. PM me

Best wishes

We went to Grindelwald lats year with ChaletsDirect and we've booked with interhome to go to Lauterbrunnin this year. Both companies were easy to deal with and last year's chalet was magnificent.
