I'm organising a trip for a group of uni students this December, going in the first week. I've been given similar quotes for both Les Deux Alpes and Alp D'Huez, and both have similar facilities etc for us.
It's the snow conditions which are concerning me though, obviously I know we are taking a gamble going so early in the season, but which of the two resorts would people recommend for the best snow. I know Alp D'Huez is about 200m higher than Deuz Alpes....

I havent skied L2A which in itself gives my answer, as if I fancied it I would have gone by now. I found ADH very enjoyable to ski, and would recommend it.

hello,
took the OH and the kids to adh in jan2009 and found the resort fantastic glorious sunshine all week snow conditions
on the lower half (bowl) were perfect.
we stayed in the bergers area which was smack on the begginer area which was ideal, also decent nightlife we used the tiger bar regular only downside was the price of beer

Been to L2A five times in the last fours years (and twice next year) (sad) between Dec 11th and Mar 15th...snow conditions have been great every time.

Depends what you need but I'd say that ADH has better skiing but would recommend L2A easily...

Does that (fence sitting) help?
