Snowcarbon has news that Rail Europe will not be operating the overnight Snowtrain next winter.

I had a small panic then, this obviously doesn't affect the eurostar over nighter :)

You know what I quite fancy a trip on the train if I go to LGb next year, St Pancras to Annecy, I like that Snow carbon site bandit.

Is there a train station near to LgB Wickers?

You can still get an overnight sleeper train, but not direct from London. You get the normal Eurostar to Paris, or whatever, and then catch one of the slow French sleeper trains to wherever you're going, like Moutiers for example. And then the same in reverse, coming back. We met a French family in Moutiers train station at Feb half-term, who were doing that.

I am all in favour of more people going by train. I went to a business conference/workshop on climate change on Wednesday, and according to them things are looking grim now. Apparently if we all continue as we are now we will need another 2 planets to supply our needs (anyone got a spare planet or two?).

Plus, I prefer going on the train anyway :D
