Last night I went to the start of the race in Zermatt. Big event atmosphere. I'm in the crowd near to the start line :D

These first teams will be close to the finish line now, at around 16 hours. I feel tired just thinking about it!

Fraid not , I was in black! However there was a really tall man in a red jacket right behind me on the right side of the start arch. About 30ft in.

Many of the folks who I watched start the race have already arrived!

Article in the Independent today...

Ski-borne mountaineers took to the Swiss Alps overnight Thursday in the legendary Glacier Patrol, a gruelling race of up to 53 kilometres (33 miles) across the snowbound peaks.

There is a decent slide show halfway down this page from Le Nouvelliste which captures the essence of the event.
