Looking to extend our ski pass this year to include Zermatt. We'd like to ski as much of the resort as possible before we have to return and wondered if anybody had a route suggestion. We are accomplished on piste skiers.

Thanks

Okay, here's what I would suggest...

Cable Car to Testa Grigia
Red 36 onto Blue 39 and 40 to Trockener Steg
Go past Trockener Steg and immediately down to left onto the 6 man Furggsattel Gletscherban
Long Red 20b all the way to Furgg
Take a minute or two for photo's or whatever then hit the Black 16 to Furi and have some lunch at the large mountain hut there (I forget the name, but the Wallaiser Rosti is excellent). There should be good snow, so you will be good but this run can be challenging in May when the melting snow causes landslides.

From there you can decide if you want to explore Zermatt or head back up the Kleine Matterhorn to ski the fantastic Red 7 back to Cervinia.

Enjoy, I am tres jealous!!

I was in Cervinia and Zermatt last year for the first time. You can venture over to Zermatt as little or as much as you want. As long as you go over first thing in the morning, you can basically go anywhere and still get back over to Cervinia in time - just dont miss that last gondola up to the top - apparently about a 4 hour taxi journey to get round the mountain otherwise!!
