So I've finally booked to go to Soll but the only deal I could get was to the Hotel Tyrol. It wasn't my first choice as I like smaller cosy hotels. Does anyone have any experience of it? I've checked tripadvisor and am now a bit apprehensive.

Yep, short stroll thru town to get to the gondola, fairly central, you'll love it.
