Hi
Our group have been discussing lift pass prices for Flaine, to book with our operator Neilson the price is £159 for area pass,(I think thats quite good) Flaine website says £182 after converting.
Question, is it worth waiting till we arrive at resort and look around for a good deal? (which could take time!) We go end of Feb.
Ps this also applies to ski rental etc.

To be honest, I've never bought in resort. I've just found the price has usually been comparable and it just saves the hassle if I have them pre-booked.

Hi All,

£152 is a good price, the cost of a pass for 6 days for the Les Arcs area this season for adults works out at about £195 at todays exchange rate.

hi, have to agree with Eljay, far less hassle to pre-book, even if it does work out slightly more. Besides if you can get it prebooked for £23 less than the local price what are you waiting for???
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

If the Flaine web site represents the lift company prices, you will not be able to "cut a deal" in resort. At that stage, you are a "dripping roast", ie, you are in the resort, and you arenot going anywhere.

The TOs mostly buy ahead, and the brochure prices reflect the price they had to pay. That element is pretty well fixed. The loose cannon is the £/Euro exchange.

With the degree of discrepency shown in your posting, I would advocate going with Nielsen, as you are most unlikely to improve upon that. It is a good price anyway.

Ski well.
