As we have a way-ward son who loves to bomb down the slopes with no regard for his loving family, I thought it would be a good idea to get a set of two-way radios to contact him when it's time to have lots of money spent on him over lunch. The question is, which ones? I know because of the mountains I'll need to get a decent set with a good range. Is there anyone out there who use a particular make and model that you swear by and would recommend? Thanks in advance.

We use Motorola T5. Found them very good for range and clarity. Far less daft conversations overheard with the digital code channel settings available on that model.

I've not got the T5 but have read plenty of reviews as I was looking to buy a pair. They'd be my choice.
