are Oakley goggles unisex?!?!

Vpsaline posted Dec-2009

I contacted Oakley and got the answer that their goggles are all goggles are unisex except the Stockholm frame. That's surprising to me, cause many goggle buying guides say that men and women get different sizes and specific fits, I'm surprised one of the leading brands (if not THE leading brand) doesn't follow that practice. I find that very strange.

Also, is it just me or does the woman's pair appear smaller in this picture, or is it just an optical illusion? Could the Oakley customer service be just plain wrong about this?

Well whenever i search for goggles there is never a category separating men's and women's goggles its usually just "Goggles". However i do think Oakley sell a smaller frames for smaller heads which is presumably for woman as they usually have smaller head circumferences. As for the picture they look about the same size to me, i think the the person on the right's look bigger because of the angle (slightly upward) making them appear to look bigger.

Good afternoon.

My friend brought this post to my attention, and I hope I can shed some light on your querry.

Oakley have both unisex and lady specific goggles as well as the Asian Fits.

Unisex styles cater for all Face Shapes, whilst lady specific goggles are both a slightly smaller fit and a also slightly deeper so the lens is not touching their eye lashes.

Within the unisex styles are three different sizes

A Frame from smaller face shapes
Crowbar for medium to larger face shapes
Splice for medium to larger face shapes again.
Splice has superseeded the older style Wisdom as shown in your image.

With reference to your image. Both goggles shown are Wisdom, both the same size / shape however the Matt White / Fire may indeed have been listed as a Ladies Goggles simply because of the colours. Ladies specific colours does not mean a ladies specific fit. Pinks for example.
