Please be very careful if you get a message with an attachment from one of your contacts on Facebook. A friend of mine has had his contacts list hacked and lots of his contacts have received spam by email with a dodgy looking link attached.

It's so easy to click on the link, because you know and trust the person (apparently) sending the mail

If the hacker got into my pals list, then the hacker may hit my list next, so you may be targetted.

I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

The mail is addressed to the recipient, comes from your friends Facebook address and says...Look at this...

The attachment is, picoband (dot) be .

If you have your computer set to scan for viruses, trojans and the like you should get an alert warning you of the risk.

Thanks for the warning Bandit. I registered yesterday, but have not yet clicked to any "friends". It was a bit wierd after registration, that suddenly, a pageful of people I recognised, appeared.

I am still a bit wary of facebook, so I am not sure I will continue. I don't like the idea of your full name and email address being put out to A&S.

Anyway, all the J2ers should be back on J2Ski, show a bit of loyalty. We seem to be somewhat low on actives just now. Still, those who are here are all good value!

To control who sees your address, email, name etc, look at the settings option on the r/h near the top of the screen. There is a privacy section. You don't have to show anyone anything, and may I suggest that you tackle this quickly )

Dave, provided you restrict your profile to friends only, it's pretty secure. The problem comes when you use any of the myriad of services and add ons that all the kids on your friends list will keep inviting you to join. They all require You to give access to your profile, and you have no real idea who is behind the application.
