Hi everyone,
Am keen to go back to Italy again this coming season & was hoping I could get some advice on a resort;
Am after,

Tree line skiing ( doesnt have to 100%)
Ski back to village ( ideally ski in/ ski out)
Approx 100km + of piste ( can be more; need to be enough skiing for a week)
'Relatively' good value ( unfortunately I have to work to a budget ).
Decent amount of reds , not too fussed about blacks.

Thanks in advance

Will it have enough trees for the OP though?

Champoluc might also fit the bill. A good variety of Reds (and some relatively challenging Blues) with trees below (and above in parts) mid-station. Not much ski-in/ski-out but most of the accommodation is within a 5-minute walk of the lower lifts, with the edges of the village served by a regular ski-bus.

There are links over to Alagna and Gressoney, although they are prone to shutting if there are high winds.

It certainly used to be "relatively" good value - we spent a week there 4 years ago - and the food was excellent everywhere we ate.

It's not the place for wild night-life but the skiing's good and there's a friendly vibe.

Sauze has lots of tree skiing, as does Sestriere over the back. In good conditions you can ski back to the village, but the snow can be erratic. When its good, its brilliant.

Sounds like somewhere I have skied before... if only I could think of where.

How about Scotland ?????

Scotland is far more erratic and much less brilliant. I imagine.

Seriously, Sauze has some brilliant skiing. I have been twice when conditions have been regarded as "rough" and got a full weeks skiing each time. It could however have been a whole lot better with more snow.
