dont know why i cant post this in the tuning section but it doesnt give me the option of starting a new thread so here it goes-
i used the stuff when away at easter and it was amazing. think its by "zardon" and is called notwax-basically liquid teflon. made the slushy afternoon snow like freshly groomed jan runs!!
its on ebay and other places, just thought id share! :D

I have been a fan of Notwax for a number of years. On occasion my skis have been seen to go faster than ise's in a straight line :D

Is it expensive? I would happily give up a bit of cruising speed to save a few quid

If a quick and painless tune is good enough for Doug Coombs, it is good enough for me 8)

about 7.99 for a pot that my mate said lasted him about 3 years-6 trips or so and numerous weekends up north

I tend to use it as a top up for the 2nd half of the week. I think it's best suited to spring skiing and warmer weather when the snow is wetter. The teflon acts as a water repellent stopping that suction effect you can get between two wet surfaces.

I'm sure I read somewhere that it was a byproduct of research into fabric waterproofing.
