Hi
the wife wants to learn to board and in the interest of maintaining marital bliss i've agreed, so the question is where is the best place from experience to go? We've excluded France for a nmuber of reasons but really we're looking at Austria or Italy, we're looking to travel 6th March next year.
Any pointers gratefully accepted.

We started off as boarders and went on an all inclusive package to Axamer Lizum/Austria. As I just mentioned in another thread the hire gear was appalling. The instructor was great but the slopes we were learning on were positioned at the bottom of the main slopes and were ice rather than snow. We stuck the lessons for two days and then called it a day and went off and found some gentle slopes on our own. But have had lessons in Seefeld, hire gear was brilliant, dedicated learner slopes and great instructors.
Ischgl or Solden. They are boarders paradises, and have fantastic slopes to interest you as a decent skier as well, and theres loads to do. If you find a good deal to either, let me know as I cant find anything "cheap" to either resort!
Its a good shout. And its always cheap to get to. HOWEVER, Freezy went there last January.
good memory Tony, and we couldn't possibly go back, could we?? there's always Niederau.......

cheers guys, some friends went to Solden over xmas and had good things to say butwill have to see what sort of deal we can find, Tony, will let you know.
