My personal favorite skis are the K2 Obsetheds, which are the skis I use (Obsetheds - http://www.k2skis.com/products/skis.asp?id=23)

The Obsetheds are "A new and even more big-mountain focused twin inspired by Seth Morrison. This ski is a new direction for Seth’s pro model ski designed, tested, and approved for his style and approach to skiing. The additional increase to 105 mm underfoot, Progressive Sidecut and Rocker design enhance flotation in soft snow, but it’s the shorter rocker design that increases it’s versatility in crud or on hardpack."

They have amazing twin tips and easily go back and forth in between switch, carve, and are amazing in powder. I give them 5/5 easily, everyone should have a pair.

What is your favorite?

105 in the waist - not ideal for a lot of people on here I would guess.
Not particularly keen on those graphics either.
Mind you, I havent skied them so I cant really comment.

I have to say that I'm really not a fan of Triaxial Braiding. I had a bases problem with some K2's many years ago,and the Triaxial Braiding was identified as the problem :(

Tony, I quite like the paint job, all the helicopters and the town and trucks on the tails...and there's a skidoo image on the base which is generally a nice loud green :D

I haven't skied on them so I'll keep my comment to the marketing blurb - If these skis are indeed designed for the 'style and approach to skiing' of Seth Morrison then i guess they are designed for steep(45 deg+) and deep (bottomless) and skiing really fast with few turns.

Is that the sort of skiing that you spend most of your time doing? - if so then I guess it's the ski for you. )

I don't have one favourite ski, despite what ski companies and magazines say, there isn't (and probably never will be) one ski which does most things well.

That obviously says something different to you than it does to me.

The first time I skied on really wide skis was in Canada in 1997. They were called Fat Boys and they were designed for 2 reasons:

1. To enable intermediate skiers to ski in powder (so that Heli ski operators would have a bigger client base)

2. To enable fairly competent skiers who were not very fit to be able to ski in powder for much longer (so that Heli ski operators would have a bigger client base)

They perform the same sort of job as stabilizers on a kids bike )

I'm not knocking them, they've opened up skiing off piste to a lot more people (a good and a bad thing) but making out that the wider the ski the more 'hard core' the skier shows a marked lack of understanding about how skis work.

Punishers are good on and off piste IMV. The ski runs short on it's length. Nice and stable platform, mine feel very footsure. I don't go in the park, but the word from the reviewers is that they are too heavy for tricks.
S&R were selling them for £175 in the sale last week. I paid £165 last year from 2seasons.
