I am going to La Plagne in less than 2 weeks and just wanted to know what the resort is like and if the Paradiski lift pass is as good as it sounds? I board and was also wondering what the quality of the boards are like as well as the bars in the Belle Plagne area :)

If you like eating up the miles on holiday, then get the full pass. There is loads of skiing/boarding on the La Plagne side, but well worth a day or two over in Les Arcs. In Belle Plagne you are perfectly positioned to take full advantage of both sides.

The hire shops in Belle Plagne will have a good selection of bords for you. I would recommend you go to the Intersport website;
http://www.intersport-rent.fr/FrontOffice/rent/page/pack.aspx?magasin=1041&langue=2

You can hire kit to suit you, and they are very good/friendly.

Belle Plagne is quite small, and only 3 or 4 bars, and one nightclub

Thanks for your help, i have already got the Paradiski pass so i will use it as much as poss just hopefully not to the extent that i get stuck over in another resort!!! :)
I will def check out that web site for board hire as im not going to take mine its a bit too small and wrecked.
The destination Belle Plagne sounds perfect with the few bars and nightclub as i dont want to be tempted to go out to much and spend to much money as the euro convesion is so bad atm. drinking at the apartment seems like the best option right now!
Thanks again.

Can recommend the Matafan if you decide to have one evening meal out - it shouldn't make too large a dent in the budget!

is that in Belle Plagne? There is only me and one mate going so it might be a bit awkward if it was a nice sit down meal between the two of us :s ha ha

The Matafan is in Belle Plagne. Eaten there couple of times and it is good. However it is also the most expensive restaurant in Belle Plagne. If you're trying to save the pennies then you might want to look elsewhere. Papagonne and La Face Nord are good too, and less pricey. Wouldn't worry about two blokes eating together :lol:

You're probably sleeping in the same room, so eating together is the least of your problems. :wink:

I refer of course to snoring. :wink:

LOL very true, i think i shall be wearing some form of ear plugs for that one, nothing worse than sharing a room with a snorer.

well im looking forward to trying them all out, i will probs be looking not to spend to much but hey its not like im going to eat there everynight of the year so i may as well treat myself if its a good place to go :)

i will take note and see how they are.

Sorry - forgot to say Matafan was actually in Belle Plagne! We were there about 3 years ago and ordered from their set menu - much better value than the a la carte.
