Having taken my own ski's with me for many years, I have rented last year and intend to do so this year. The quality in France was brilliant in Mirabelle last year. Not sure where to go in Sauze d'Oulx this year, anyone been recently? We are staying just out of the town at Jouvenoux!

Take your own skis to sauze, unless you want to pay for VIP skis at a higher price as the quality of rental gear there was not too hot in Feb 08.

the best place to rent is the small and expensive looking sports shop next to Scotch Bar up at the bottom of the piste than runs back into town. The skis I rented for my son from skiset were pretty ropey, but actually managed to hold together for the week!

Enjoy Sauze, its got some gorgeous runs, and the snow there is fantastic this year.

Hi, you might want to look at http://www.sauzeonline.com/winter/es_eh1.asp
along with the forum postings on sauzeonline regarding ski hire.

On the first link I gave you there is a reservation form that allows you to ask the shop any question you like regarding the equipment. If you do reserve equipment no money is exchanged until your in resort and you've seen what you'll be given.

Paolo changes his equipment regularly so the standard is good.
