I'm looking to go somewhere on the 7th March - baffled about the obsession with one place on this site so I'm almost tempted to go there. Hm.
Bon. Allez!

I'm sure you've read all about the place - it is small! Pays yer money, takes yer choice. Speaking of which,in the right place,€2.70 for Zipfer can't be bad.I,for one,am credit crunched! Col.

Somewhere cheap would be nice! I suppose it depends on which resorts are going cheap with the travel agents in the next few weeks.
Bon. Allez!

What - noone at the Auhof!!!!!! We have just returned from 2 fantastic weeks in Austria, one of which was spent with Jan and Mrs Jan at the Auhof. I know everyone goes on about the place but I would just like to add to the previous posts. We had hear so much about N on this site that we just had to go to see for ourselves.
Loved it, the husband loved it, the kids both came first place in their ski races. My daughter had Jan's son as an instructor and she really came along a lot. Both husband and kids tried out the speed ski run (clocked 76kms per hour!) Niederau is not for all the snow gurus who want to offpiste all day long, though there is quite a bit of that too - Jan does tours, but for a family and a lead in to the ski trip (after a year out my old muscles need gentleness)it was just what we needed. The runs are all uncrowded as are the lift lines, scenery is great and the evening company in front of the fire was lovely.
We had very heavy snowfalls while there so the skiing was just about perfect. Drove 15 mins to Auffach on one day and tried that out too - lovely.
All in all I would recommend it and we would be back
