I've always quite fancied Montgenevre but have not got there yet, the hotel looks fine as long as it's clean and the food edible, have a great holiday. 8)

Skied there in '98 as a beginner, first trip after a 9 year gap.
Nice resort, lovely bowl with some good runs.
Not sure what the links with the rest of the Milky Way are like now, pretty rubbish back then.
Remember apres being superb, live bands in several of the bars.

Montgenevre has some nice skiing, especially over the bowl in the back. You can ski the links to Cesana and Claviere easily enough, but the best skiing in in Sauze and Sestriere, so you will need to get buses over there.
Montg is a small place, all along one main road, and the Brits we came across who stopped there were the hooray Henry's who were marching around all day on their mobile phones rather than skiing.
It was nice for a couple of days visit, but there are much better places to stay IMO.
