...are a complete rip off! I have been there today and to be honest we didn't even bother using our tickets, the slope itself is so short (I'd say a 10 second run top to bottom)and stairs are the only way back up. It is a plastic surface not snow as people were led to believe. Really disappointing.

If you were thinking about going my advice is DON'T.

With the greatest respect, I could have told you that before you went.
The Chill FactorE in Manchester is the longest indoor slope in UK I believe, and I have to say I was very very bored on it during a 90 minute session in September, and would not bother using an indoor slope again to be perfectly honest. There is only 1 way to ski in my opinion, and its not indoors and its not in the UK.

I don't know the gradient of the slope but the main slope at Chill Factore claims to be 180m.

Whilst I agree with TonyH there is only one way to ski its still good to sometimes be able to go and have a play and its even better when its on your doorstep so it doesn't seem so much of a waste of time.

At least its snow rather than the rubbish you get at a dry ski slope...

ise,

02 slopes = 45 meters. At a guess the gradient is about 40 degrees. It is not the usual dry ski slope material more like plastic carpet.

Tony,

I agree that the only place worth skiing is the real thing but at least Chill Factor or Escape are ok (ish)for warming up those muscles before a trip. The 02 imo really is not worth bothering with for any reason.
