Ok so after about 4 weeks of nagging and pestering and generally behaving like a 4 year old I have finally convinced my wife to let us go skiing not just in January to Soll with her family but that we can also go skiing for Christmas!
I've had to promise to buy anything stupid for 6 months and I have been saving like there was a recession on (doh).
So I've got enough money provided I can find a super, rock bottom, ultra discounted last minute deal.
Does anyone have any top tips or suggestions for where I might find a bargain package and the best time to book it. We want to go 20th-27th Dec and we don't want to go to Bulgaria, but other than that I don't care as there seems so be decent snow everywhere.
All help and any anecdotal evidence of said deals gratefully received!
Thanks
Steve

I looked at Bulgaria this year and on this forum everyone seems completely split down the middle of thinking it was absolutely fantastic or complete hell on skis! Plus the transfer times put my better half off.

Depends what you mean in £££ terms of rock bottom ? I've had a few really good deals on catered chalet rooms pass my way, which when you take into account whats included I'd have said were pretty good deals.
Unfortunately i have to work Xmas Day as it pays for at least 2 ski holidays... would have been 4/5 with out this damn credit crunch (wonder if Gordon will lend a couple of million bail out my ski holiday fund ? he can have share in my bindings or summit)
Good luck with finding something though - just leave some snow for those of us who don't escape till January!

Thanks for the tips! I'm trying to hold on until the last minute to try and get the best, true last minute deal. I'm relying on the credit crunch meaning the operators will be desparate to fill flights and hotels.
Fingers crossed its not Bulgaria.
