Yes, its my first ever post after just joining! :~)
We're off to Tignes next week, and are staying Lavachet, dont suppose anyone else knows anything about the area?!
We're going to be hiring ski's/board's when we get there....can anyone recommend anywhere?
Is there anything else of interest!?!

Yes, go over top Le Fornet at Val d'Isere, hire a snowboard and ride "vallon" (a blue natural halfpipe approx. 2km long) onto "foret" (a rather interesting black).

carl all you need to know is theres been tons of snow last weekend,and pistes are in top condition,perhaps if you click on french thread for more info,i,m staying in le,boisse bottom off hill bus services very good,and should be all open on 1/12 i,ll be their and was last year great place,beer expensive,but thats france.

I haven't stayed in le lavachet but the lifts, pistes and buses link the whole area really well so you never have to walk too far

- thanks pj.....i think we're sorted with airport trx - unfortunately from Geneva though :( and i'd heard links were really good between places :)
- not sure about that Tino....its my first time lol! i've done 6 hours boarding in uk and am apparently 'recreational standard'....but think i'll have to stick to something a little more tame lol!
- thanks caron, i'll check it out.... i'm going with my cousin, who wants to sort stuff when we get there, but i;m tempted to book fro UK....
