Currently all forcasts I see for Whistler out there are fair but not great and Im not sure which forecast is reliable.
Wondered if there is anyone out there that can offer a glimmer of hope...
We should get there on December 1st... has anyone out there been to whistler around that time or can deciper the weather forcast long term for me?

Any weather forecast more than a couple days in to the future is probably a guess especially in the mountains. There will be something to ski on thats for sure.. just don't count on it being epic like last year.
Keep an eye on snow-forecast.com but don't get hung up on it.

<<<<<<<Worst november i've ever seen. Put it this way 2 years ago i was riding to the village by now, 3 years ago i already had 12 days under my belt. But now here there is barely anything up there, i was speaking to a cat driver the other day and apparently all the mountain people are freaking out. It is meant to open this sat but i doubt that will happen, if it does it will be terrible. Freezing levels just havnt been low enough, to open you need decent snow down to the bottom of red chair (about 1200m) so they can run red and green chair, but the freezing levels have been so up and down spending alot of time over 1600m which is not good.
I heard over the summer that because of a hurricane or some other reason we would be getting a terrible early season but come january it will be epic beyond all belief. So far that is playing true.
It opened on the 17th last year with a decent amount of snow. Yes it was a while before you could ride to the village.
Yeah we have had snow in the village a few times but the problem is the next day the freezing level is at 2000m and its raining. Looking at the webcams the hill is nowhere near ready to open, there is just no base. It looks like there is 6 inches at the roundhouse.
They announced the 27th as opening day so that they could open on the 22nd and say they opened early for 4 years in a row. They would never have opening day on a thursday. As of right now they are feck, not enough snow to do anything, they will maybe carry snow from other places on the hill so they can open on time but it wont be awesome.
Its wierd, i have been pumped for riding since the first cold day in August but now its close i dont really care because i know as of right now its going to be terrible.>>>>>>>
<<<<<Its looking up guys, there is a good amount due thurs 30cm+ apparently, hopefully the freezing level will stay low enough to stop any precip changing to rain. Its looking bad atm for opening day. I dont think I will go up at least until there is a good base.>>>>>>
