Does any J2Skier north of the border (or south for that matter) know a cheap hotel near the airport? I've an early flight out of there and need to drive down the night before from Aviemore.

This Sunday for one week, if there's snow I'll get a day skiing as well on the Saturday.

Theres a Comfort Hotel on the complex that I used to stop in for £50 a night B&B, but their prices have gone through the roof over the past year.
The usual Holiday Inn etc on site, but if you can get to Livingston (9 miles or so) there is a good Travelodge at the Almondvale Centre, with an excellent Italian called Masimo's underneath.

Thanks, I think the on site ones are all over 100 quid which seems steep. I've used a Premier Inn at Falkirk which is only 50 quid a night for room only previously and then got breakfast at the airport, looks like I'll be doing that again.

Hi Ise,

I cannot vouch for these, since I live here, and don't need them.

If it's just a room, then you can try:

Herriot Watt University, 2*, 3 miles from EDI.
Boreland Lodge Hotel, Inverkeithing, 2*, About 5/7 miles from EDI.

Both through travel supermarket.

Travelodge have rooms available for £9, £19 and £29 depending on where they are and when you want them. Might be worth a look.

Sorry Ise, I'm naway with work then or I'd have put you up.

You can easily stay in the centre of town and get the Airport bus as it is cheap and quick. It'll also give you more choice in places to stay.

If you have a rental, again try in town (just make sure it has parking).

Also have you looked at the hostels? There are a few brand spanking new ones in town all very cheap.
