Right, I've just rekindled my snow-love after some years being skint and restricted to annual beach-holiday tedium by an equally tedious fun-squasher. So, I want to get into skiing properly this time having only fleeting affairs previously. With this in mind, and that I consider my ability to be that of "fearless yet technically flawed intermediate", what boots should I go for? I intend on skiing quite regularly and am looking to improve quite quickly so I'm after a pair that i'm not going to feel restricted by come next year.
Cheers.
What kind of Ski Boots?

As for the boots....buy the pair that fit. Go see a boot fitter, get measured and take their advice on what will suit your feet :D

How far is Manchester from Bicester? THe man you want to see about this is "cem" on here, shoot him a PM, he is generally regarded as the best bootfitter about and I am yet to hear a complaint about him. He is carrying a range of boots this year (I understand) not just the race boots he has done in years past.
I'm not involved in any way with cem, he helped me out once without question so I am just spreading the word

Cheers lads. I'm all over the show in the car these days trying to drag in sales so I'm sure I'll be down that neck of the woods at some point. I'll get in touch with your guy - there's nowt better than a recommendation. Being a newbie to the world of ski-equipment I'm a bit reluctant to walk in to any old ski-shop waving a visa card. It's kinda like sending your missus to buy a car... you're leading with your chin really.
Thanks for the posts, gentlemen.
Ladies, I am only kidding. :D

I heard that CEM has been at the London Show this week, and will be at the Birmingham Show, possibly on the FallLine stand.
Admin Did you meet CEM at the London Show perchance?
