blimey, it sounds like the good life in your house!
I've still got the wasp problem
If only, I would give up work any-day and work on the old self sufficiency lark.

I have had the week off to catch up with some serious gardening. To-day a fox came into the garden sat down close to me and left a large deposit that I could well have done without having to clear up. I went to do some work in the greenhouse but two robins were flying around crashing into every-thing. I went to move my hedgehog house and found a family of hedgehogs in it, I have been waiting 18months for one to take up residence. I came back into the house to get a cuppa, I had left the patio doors open and there was a squirel hopping about in my lounge. I would not mind but I dont live in the country I live in a town. I am just waiting for bats in the loft now.

Guy in our tennis club is building an extension to his house. He is a fairly cack-handed building organisor, six years to half build an extension, during which time I have completed four. Anyway, I digress. During the process, he discovered a bat roost in his existing loft.
Now then, if it twer you or me, we might have assisted the litle fellers, ie bats, and battesses into a new residence with all mod cons. He duly reported it to building control, and then had to pay £500 for a "Bat Report", together with "Bat monitoring", and "Bat Residence Recommendations". I assure you, I am not making this up.
He subsequently, had to build an approved external Bat residence, (which is what we all would have done in the first place.)
