Hello,
Does anyone have any info on how to do the cuff adjustments on HEAD edge 11 boots please? The side srews on mine are all in different positions on the boots, so I am at a loss to know if these boots are in the 'straight-up' position (for lack of a better way of describing it)or if they have already been altered. I will do the plumb line check later, but this could save me a lot of time if I know which way to adjust the screws.
Many thanks,
skimac
Head Edge 11 cuff adjustment?

Stand upright with your feet apart.Draw your legs together and see if the insides of your feet or knees touch together first. Then you will know if you are knock kneed or bow legged. This determines wether the out side or inside Cant should be raised to compensate so you get an even stance on your skis.
It works for me.
Rob
I'm glad that it works for you, though the OP was originally wanting the lowdown on cuff adjustment which will align the lower leg to the boot cuff, and this won't affect the stance on the ski. Sole Canting is normally achieved by adding half degree shims to the footbed IME.

I would have to guess that they have already been adjusted, although cuff adjustments can move from hard use like a fall. The adjustments are normally in the same position on all the boots I've played with (not head boots yet). Are these used boots ? If so, be careful as the adjustment screws seem very susceptable to corrosion. I've had them shear off or strip in the past. Some pennetrating oil might be a good precaution, but clean it off the plastic so as not to degrade it.

Thanks for the info,
The boots are new, and each boot has an adjuster on each side. I thought that this adjustment was only done with a single screw so I was getting confused!
thanks again........

By "cuff adjustment" I'm asuming that you mean cuff alignment or what Head and most manufacturers call 'canting' (thats a whole other can of worms ))
The factory setting is when the cam on the adjusting screw is at the top.
Cheaper boots will only have an adjustment on one side only, usually the outside (these are not that effective IMHO)
Having said that the whole Edge range have what Head call 'double canting' i.e an adjustment screw on each side.
The setting shown in the picture is how a new boot comes from the factory.

Many, many thanks macski! Exactly how I needed this explained,a picture is worth a thousand words!
I will try the plumb line test tonight, and working on what you say set both srews to the top which I presume will be effectively a neutral position, and then adjust if required.
I must confess it is a mess of my on making, I shouldn't have played around with the damn things anyway, but I have just ditched my faithfull Salamon rear entry SE91 Equipes and I was a bit excited...........
