I’m trying to tick off another item on the shopping list for this year and was hoping someone could help…
I’m looking to buy a double ski bag with wheels (ideally with a bit of extra space for clothing etc.) however this is proving extremely difficult to find (I think I’ve come across two in all the searches I’ve done.) Just wondered if someone could either recommend a particular bag or point me in the direction of a relevant website. I don’t really want to go down the route of an over shoulder bag as I’m likely to knock someone unconscious when I turn round!
Thanks

Double ski bag with wheels...?

Interesting point this one. I believe the airlines who stipulate terms say 1 pair of skis or 1 board per person. However, I do know many people take 2 pairs of skis/boards with them in the 1 bag, so I guess its up to you to decide whether you book it in as 1 or 2 items. I previously booked a holiday before I bought the double bag and paid for 2 pairs, but could have got away with it as no one checked what was inside, and another time I got away with just the 1 pair booked - again no one checked. I think the airlines are pretty relaxed about this, with the exception of Easyjet and Ryanair who try and milk every possible penny from their punters these days, and also that its the tour operators who look to make the money from ski carriage as oppose to the airline, and put it down to transfers to and from resort.
I guess its up to you and your conscience.

Apologies if there is a link up for this but I use a snowboard bag. Lots of room for 2 pairs of skis, poles, and almost all of the rest of my gear (except helmet).

I already have a ski bag for my skis but I may have to purchase something else as my wife is looking to get her own skis this year.
Do you think it makes sense to get a double bag/case and would I still have to pay for 2 skis?

We have always managed two boards, bindings and boots in one bag for one £15 charge, no-one has has queried or checked. We could just have been lucky.

Purchasing one now, after getting many recommendations for the L.L. Bean Sportube (double version). Very reliable from everyone I've heard and you can find it for somewhere around $100 (USD), although I'm not yet sure about shipping to Europe.
