Hi All,

My family are looking at a holiday in Tignes, in Easter 2009. We would be a group of possibly as many as 13, so I realise that is a little restrictive. Does anyone know of some good accommodation available in the Espace Killy area? I'm a little wary after reading the Savoie Holidays warning.

A somewhat unrelated question: I would much prefer to go to St. Anton, as I've not been before, but my parents were worried about the snow record at that altitude. Can anyone give any first hand experience of conditions in St. Anton in early April?

Thanks a lot!

Well I was going to go to St Anton last week in March this year, but only ended up not going because someone took the chalet deal before I did. Looking at the snow there, it was fantastic.
I ended up in Verbier, and it was the same, fresh powder and great conditions. I think late March early April is the way forward to be quite honest with you. Although nothing is guaranteed.

Regarding Tignes, have you tried skiworld or catered-ski-chalets.co.uk ???

Our group went to tignes with skiworld last easter and we're going back the 2nd week of next easter. They've got loads of chalets there and a chalet hotel too. I'd recommend them.
Good luck

Hi goose-person...

Are you looking for catered or self-catered? We list a number of self-catered chalets in Tignes on j2ski, although I think only one of them would be big enough for your group.

Over the next couple of weeks we should be adding some new chalets to that list, at least some of which will be catered.

If it doesn't have to be Tignes, you could look further down the valley at Villaroger; Optimumski have enough rooms but you'd need to be quick - their chalet is a short walk to the chair that takes you into Les Arcs; Tignes and Val d'Isere are around 30 minutes by car/minibus from there.
