Suggestions for Enhancing our Snow Reports

We've had some good ideas for additional information to add to our snow forecasts and reports, so here's a thread for you guys (and gals) to add some more.

Can't promise to implement them all (or even take them seriously :lol: ) but feel free to ask for anything you think would be useful to add.

Good suggestions received so far, that we will try to add, include :-

• Adding "wind-chill" to the forecast for each day.


• Adding a "confidence factor" reflecting how stable the forecast for a particular day has been.

One major change we plan is to provide a more detailed forecast for the next 48 hours; breaking down the weather into 6-hour chunks to give you an idea of what will happen when.

Any more bright ideas?

wind chill is a big yes, yes.

Like the sound of change.. confidence factor is not a big thing for me, everyone knows that all the weather should be taken with a pinch of salt. Or a handful! Breakdown would be awesome.

I'll just settle for a live webcam shot of each area so we can see for ourselves.

How about some hardwear reviews of whats hitting the shops next season.Maybe some members could road test some of the gear.Over 26600 members is quite an insentive to road test your gear if your a big company.Wheres Pavel when you need him :roll:

Tony H could test the hats, and of course the salopettes. Plus the altimeters that let you know when a resort is too low to plan some ski time.

Trencher could take on the stick technology.
