Boarding in Sestriere

Hi there,

We are all a little sad at the moment, as our tour operator just e-mailed us this morning (04 April) to advise us that our planned ski/boarding trip to Bardonecchia has been changed to Sestriere, due to 70% of lifts closing this Sunday 06 April.

Half of our party are boarders and were looking forward to the snow park in Bardonecchia, does anyone know if Sestriere has a snow park?

Also can't understand why they have closed so many lifts, there appears to be more snow in Bardonechia and more to come than in Sestriere.

Yes, Sestriere has a board park, over to the right hand side nearer the Olympic Village. However, when I was there in Feb the snow was only just ok, and they have hardly had loads since, so if Bard is struggling, I cant imagine Sestriere is much better.

You might want to take your Converse and a skateboard.
